“The Big Lie Was Also The Big Rip-off.”
The Second Jan. 6 Congressional Hearing - The Big Lie was also the Big Steal

Date

“The Big Lie was also the big rip-off.”

In the second Congressional Hearing on the Jan. 6 Insurrection, lawmakers again called witnesses to document that the Presidential Election was not Stolen.

That said, hearing number two was all about following the money.

The sound bite of the day came from Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren.

She said, “The Big Lie was also the big rip-off.”

The congresswoman called the scheme of raising money by claiming the election was stolen “The Trump Marketing plan.”

The woman responsible for documenting Congresswoman Lofgren’s claims was Amanda Wick, Senior Investigative Counsel at the Select Committee.

She documented and showed us the trail of money.

Here is a quote from Ms. Wick.

“Between Election Day and January 6th, the Trump campaign sent millions of fundraising emails to Trump supporters, sometimes as many as 25 a day. The emails claimed the quote, “Leftwing mob was undermining the election,” implored supporters to quote, “Step up to protect the integrity of the election,” and encourage them to repeat, “Fight back.” But as the select committee has demonstrated, the Trump campaign knew these claims of voter fraud were false.

“Yet they continued to promote small-dollar donors with e-mails encouraging them to donate to the Official Election Defense Fund. The select committee discovered that no such fund existed.”
