Trump to staff: “Take the f—— mags away.”

Hearing number six of the House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Attack on the United States Capitol featured Cassidy Hutchinson.

Hutchinson was a former aide to Mark Meadows. Trump’s White House chief of staff/ She gave us a unique look at the Chaos of the former president’s administration. 

Hutchinson was an insider. Her office was just steps from the oval office. She knows a lot about what was happening in the White House after Election Day, and the days before Jan. 6, on Jan. 6, and after Jan. 6.

Here are some highlights from her testimony.

  • Her boss, Mark Meadows, told her after a meeting with Rudy Guliani and Trump that on Jan. 6, things might get “Real, real bad.”
  • Hutchinson testified that Meadows generally knew about the potential for violence on Jan. 6 but failed to act.
  • Guiliani told her Trump is going to the Capitol tomorrow, Jan. 6. “He’s going to look great. Real Powerful.”
  • “The War Room” There was a Willard Hotel Meeting on Jan. 5 to plot out the plan for Jan. 6 according to Hutchinson, Meadows was supposed to be there. She recommended he attend on a Zoom Call.
  • On Jan. 6. Trump had a temper tantrum because there wasn’t a big crowd at his speech.
  • Many in the crowd would not go through the Magnatomters. 
  • Trump was Angry about crowd size.”
  • Trump was told his supporters were armed.
  • Trump said, “I don’t f—— care that they have weapons. They’re not here to hurt me. Take the f—— mags away. Let my people in,” she recalled. “They can march to the Capitol from here. Let the people in. Take the f—— mags away.”
  • An ‘irate’ Trump grabbed the wheel inside the presidential SUV insisting the Secret Service take him to the Capitol. When they refused, he said, “I’m the f-ing president; take me to the capital now.
  • Trump’s lawyers told Cassidy, “whatever you do, Cass, don’t let him go to the Capital. We will all be arrested.”
