In the film, Clemenza is speaking to Michael Corlone, as Michael prepared to kill a New York City Cop and another Mafioso who almost killed The Godfather!

Yes, we should have stopped Hitler in Munich before the madman killed 10 million Jews and millions of others. The United States did not want to fight in WWII. We were sick of war after WWI. So we let Hitler expand and invade country after country. We also stood by and let Hitler wage war on Great Britain without helping much.

But then Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, and that all changed.

Flash forward to today.

Are you like me watching in horror as Russia wages war again Ukraine?

Once again, a bully is killing innocent people for no reason whatsoever.

Putin has spent years building up the Russian military. Just like Hitler.

He had engaged in misinformation and spread lies. He launched cyber-attacks on Ukraine.

Just like Hitler. Early on, Hitler wanted to control what people were thinking. The Nazis made sure every German had a radio. They were handed out at no charge. Then the Nazis controlled what was on the radio: propaganda and lies.

Communication.

Here is a shortlist of reasons we all need to care about the bully in Russia and the people he is killing in Ukraine.

         1. Don’t Ignore A Bully.

         2. Democracy is Worth Caring about and fighting for. Ukraine is authoritarian, but it was inching toward Democracy.

We must value that!!!

          3. A dictator runs Russia. China Supports Russia. Ukraine is an important country. Look at a map.

         4. What next? If we let the bully bomb Ukraine back to the dark ages.

         5. Is this important for peace in Europe and on this planet? 

Yes! Hell yes!

Here is what is frightening.

The former president is siding with Putin, and so are his puppets on Capitol Hill and in the media.

This is dangerous, stupid, and wrong. It’s got to stop. The only way to stop it is with Information and good information.

It’s essential to care about the people of Ukraine and their young Country, which declared independence from the communist Soviet Union in 1991.

Why should we care?

Democracy

One word, my friends. Democracy.

That Democracy is fragile. It’s not a guarantee. Not anymore.

We are a global community now. Digital communications have brought us all closer.

I’m thrilled when I see I have listeners and viewers in Poland, China, Serbia, India, and the Philippines. I love you, people.

I can now watch what is going on in Ukraine on TikTok, Live. I see the bombs exploding.

We are One

We are one world, my friends. We are one people.

In 2022, it’s down to this. 

We are good. Or we are bad. 

That’s it!

I woke this morning and listened to some left-wing political podcasts. And I got sick to my stomach.

I had a doctor’s appointment, and I almost had to pull my car over so I could throw up.

The podcasts were playing sound bites from Trump and a couple of those traitor/propagandists on Fox.

It made me sick.

Here’s why I’m so afraid. People believe them.

This has to stop. We have to read and hear both sides and talk to each other about right and wrong.

Our Democracy is at stake.

Because what is next for the madman, Putin? Poland? Cyber War on the US?

No. We have to stop him now.

This is a fact:

Remember, Russians interfered in our elections in 2016.

Vladimir Putin Didn’t Want Hillary Clinton to be US President

Vladimir Putin didn’t want to deal with Hillary Clinton. He didn’t want Hillary Clinton to become President.

Oh, guess what. She didn’t.

 Hillary Clinton was critical of Putin when she was Secretary of State in the Obama Administration.

Russia wanted a weak US President that Putin could handle. They got it. Donald Trump.

And the man who benefited from Russia/Putin’s interference from our elections is now praising Putin, and republicans are overwhelmingly remaining silent or criticizing Biden’s handling of this Ukraine/Russian War. And Fox News talking heads are criticizing President Biden as well.

What the heck is going on?

I’m sure President Reagan, who fought all his political career to defeat Russian Imperialism, is turning over in his grave. This is not Ronald Reagan’s GOP. Not Anymore. It’s done.

What now?

So, Biden has imposed Sanctions. This means we and other countries will experience a rise in gas prices. Russia is the world’s largest wheat exporter. That’s going to hurt.

Economics of War

I recommend you listen to Kai Ryssdal, an American radio journalist and the host of Marketplace, a business program that airs weekdays on U.S. public radio stations.

His show will explain how the sanctions are going to affect us.

It’s important, right now, to communicate about this and know the facts.

Here are some communication facts.

Most older Russians get their information from Russian official television, which is propaganda.

But young Russians and Ukrainians get their news from multiple sources, including YouTube and social media.

Those are the people who are protesting this war in Russia.

These are facts; most of those criticizing President Biden and saying we don’t care about Ukraine get their news from a propaganda machine called Fox News. It’s not news; it’s right-wing hatred and lies.

Therefore, it is so important to read multiple online articles and stories. Listen to the other side. Talk with people you don’t necessarily agree with.  

Thank God for President Biden

Read what President Biden is doing. We are so fortunate to have him as our President right now.

We need to embrace this fact every day.

Putin interferes with our elections. He is now waging war on Ukraine.
