How to Vote on Prop. 29? What A Yes or No Vote Means: Kidney Dialysis and Doctors
Prop. 29 Kidney Dialysis Clinics and On-Site Doctors

Date

How to vote on Prop. 29? What does Yes or No mean on the Measure that requires a licensed medical professional be on-site during Kidney Dialysis treatment?

Prop. 28 requires a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant on-site during treatment.

Requires clinics to: disclose physicians’ ownership interests; report infection data.

Fiscal Impact: Increased state and local government costs likely in the tens of millions of dollars annually.

YES means you want a doctor, nurse, or physician assistant present during dialysis treatment.

NO means you do Not want a licensed Medical Professional present during patient treatment.

Chronic dialysis clinics would not be required to have a physician, nurse practitioner, or physician assistant on-site during all patient treatment hours.
