If you think it doesn’t matter to you.
Think AGAIN.
The Plan includes something that will touch all our lives, from bridges and roads to broadband, water, and energy systems.
It may not be a perfect plan. But it’s better than nothing.
And nothing is what we had for decades. New jobs are coming. It’s a done deal. Embrace it!
This is a transcript of my script:
America’s Infrastructure Face-Life.
Fixing our broken roads and bridges.
$39 Billion to modernize Public Transportation.
$66 Billion for Passenger and Freight lines and Rail Roads.
$17 billion for upgrading airports, ports, and waterways.
$21 Billion Funds to clean up Super Fund Sites, clean up and upgrade Wastewater Treatment.
Fifty-five billion for Clean Water.
Yes. Americans suffer and die from rusty pipes and contaminated water.
The Internet. It’s not an option anymore. It’s a necessity.
The Act includes a $65 billion investment to establish High-Speed Affordable Broadband Infrastructure–Nationwide.
7.5 billion Electric Vehicles, installation of hundreds of charging stations building a national network of EV chargers.
7.5 billion Purchase of thousands of electric school buses
and ferries.
$65 billion to rebuild the Crumbling Electric Grid. Thousands of miles of new power lines and expanding renewable energy.
The New Law aims to create about 650,000 decent-paying Jobs.
Many of the projects include some kind of climate change, environmental protection provisions.

If you want to criticize this Law. Try to forget politics for a moment.
Would you please think of the potholes that will be filled, The dirty water we won’t have to drink, the bridges that won’t fall down?
Think of the construction jobs that will be created and the power grid that will not collapse. And the internet access that will be provided for rural and urban areas, for poor children and seniors.
And yes, even the electric cars we will be able to charge so we can give Mother Earth a Chance to breathe.
