Here’s the bottom line. There are usually multiple people who are qualified for a job. But what managers are really looking for is someone who can work well with others.

Lot’s of Practice – Lot’s of Experience

These Are My Suggestions

  1. Stand up straight: Body language is fundamental. Do not shuffle into the room or office. Don’t slough. Make eye-contact. Smile. Say hello. And try to be yourself. Be warm and friendly.2If you are asked a question and don’t know the answer, just say, “I don’t know.” Don’t fake it, and don’t try to make something up.
  2. Prepare. How? Easy, go online and do a Google search of the company or business.
  3. Study. Here’s how. Write a list of possible questions and their responses.
  4. Practice answering those questions.

Prepare Your Question(s)

  1. Why did you apply for this position?
  2. How do your qualifications fit our job description?
  3. How do you describe your relationship with co-workers? With Managers?
  4. Why do you want to work here?
  5. How do you handle a heavy workload and deadlines?
