Recall Facts – Everything You Need to Know To Help

There are many Recall Facts. And there is much more political maneuvering.

For some voters, there is too much information about the California Gubernatorial Recall. This can result in Voter Apathy. And NOT voting at all.

One-Stop Voting Guide

But If you are a procrastinator. Or if you like voting on Election Day or are just plain confused. This post is just about Recall Facts.

I’ve placed all of my posts, videos, a podcast episode, and info in one place.

This page.

I have also included Voter Information links to everything you need to know to help you vote in the California Recall Election.

Early Voters, Procrastinators, and Losers

Many of you may have already voted in the Governor Gavin Newson Special Recall Election.

But many, too many qualified voters have not and may not.  Don’t be a loser. Vote.

We are facing many life and death issues now. So it is more important than ever to have a voice and vote.

It’s Easy To Vote

FACT #1:

CA Voters have until the end of the day on Tuesday, Sept. 14. to cast their ballots.

There is still time to mail in your ballot. If you don’t trust the U.S. Postal Service, there are other options. You can drop the off-your ballot.  There are many official places to leave your ballot. And elections centers are now open, and you can vote there. And, of course, you can always vote on election day.

What is the purpose of this Special Election?

Here is a link to my first Recall Post, “Simple, Easy Recall Facts.” It outlines how we got here and what we have to decide.

How did we get here?

Critics, mostly Republicans, and others have a long list of grievances again Governor Newsom. Including his handling of the COVID 19 Pandemic. Compared to the Governors in Texas and Florida, I believe Newsom is doing a fine job, of handling the pandemic.

What Your “Yes” or No Vote Means

Voters will decide if they wish to recall or Fire Governor Gavin Newsom or let him remain in office for the rest of his term, two more years.

FACT #2: A Yes vote means you want to remove Gavin Newsom from the governor’s office.

A YES Vote Means You Wnt to Recall Governor Gavin Newsom

FACT #3: A No Vote means you want Gavin Newsom to continue as California’s Governor.

A NO Vote Means Governor Gavin Newsom Keeps His Job

FACT #4: Simple Majority Wins

If more than 50 percent of the electorate vote Yes – to recall, Newsom losses the Governorship.

If more than 50 percent vote NO – he remains.

If Governor Newsom loses, California will need a Governor.

The candidates who get the most votes will become our next Governor.

It is essential to vote for another candidate.

You are not required to pick a candidate. Your recall Yes or No still counts.

Governor Newsom and others have recommended that you do not vote for a replacement.

I’m afraid I have to disagree with that.

Have a Voice

Have a voice. Make a decision and vote for a replacement even if you don’t want Newsom recalled.

Here is the link to my post on some candidates, “Too Many Candidates…”

And below are additional links to what I’ve produced on The Gavin Newsom Recall.

My podcast, “The Big Yellow Taxi, The Recall, and Voter Apathy,” explains where I stand on this election.

I write my stories to help explain the political process. My goal is to help people get involved and not give up on Democracy. Especially women. Mostly women. But everybody.

Please share this post. Please encourage people to vote. If you have questions, I will respond.

Thomas Jefferson said, “You get the government you elect.”

We have not been doing very well. But maybe if more of us get involved, it will improve.

I’m Gloria Moraga. VOTE!
