I will tell you why I’m voting No on the Governor Gavin Newsom Recall. My reasons are practical, fiscal, and emotional reasons. I encourage you to read and Vote No on the Recall. 

First, I’m going to list the reasons; then I’m going to explain.

Here is the List of why I Voted No On the Recall

1. People are dying from COVID.
2. Recalls are for Crybabies and Sore Losers.
3. Recalls are expensive. 
4. California Taxpayers will spend $400 million on this Recall. 
5. People are dying from COVID. (It’s worth repeating)
6. Masks and vaccines save lives.
7. Newsom supports vaccines and masks.
8. The Recall People do NOT. 
9. I loathe women-haters. Newsom is not a woman-hater. The man who might replace him is a woman-hater. 
10. Gavin Newsom has made some mistakes, but he is trying to save lives. 
11. If you don’t like California move to Florida or Texas. And good luck with your electric bill in Texas!

Point 1 – COVID. This pandemic is not over.  We are at war with this virus. We need to stay the course. Newsom follows the science. He’s doing the best possible.

Point 2 – I Hate Recalls

I’ve explained my position on Recalls in other Posts. But briefly, we have Gubernatorial Elections every four years. Next year critics of Newsom can pull out all stops to replace him.

The California Association of Clerks and Election Officials says COVID-related precautions will push the costs of a special statewide election to roughly $400 million.

Points 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 – Everything is About COVID

I don’t want to die. People continue to die. Now children are dying. Wake up, People. I don’t know where the anti-mask, anti-vaccine people are getting their information. But we have the internet. Read opposing opinions and make informed judgments. We are killing ourselves.

Point 10 – More COVID

No, Gavin Newsom isn’t perfect. Who is? Nobody. His administration has worked to keep all Californians safe from COVID. This task is overwhelming because of all the Anti-masks – anti-vaccine idiots.

Point 11 – Please Move

Florida and Texas

California’s Death Rate from COVID is much lower than in many other States, including Texas and Florida. Move there if you hate it here. Read the Covid-Death Statistics in Texas and Florida. 

Voting is A Way to be INVOLVED

Finally, I rarely discuss how I vote. Frankly, it’s nobody’s business. As a former political reporter, I bent over-backs to be fair and impartial in my stories. 

I am no longer a journalist. I am a concerned citizen. I am a mother, sister, grandmother and I love my Country and my State. I’m tired of watching people die from a disease we can beat. 

And I’m really sick of a small number of people setting the agenda while the rest of us work hard to be good people and good citizens.
